This site and the two apps target WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Self-assessed, not independently audited.

What's in place

• Semantic HTML with correct heading order and labeled form controls.
• Keyboard works everywhere. Focus indicators are visible.
• Color contrast meets the target in light and dark mode.
• Alt text on informational images. Decorative ones are aria-hidden.
• Touch targets at least 44×44 on mobile.
• Respects prefers-reduced-motion and prefers-color-scheme.
• Extra Hands: audio coaching runs in every language, so providers who can't watch the screen clearly can rely on voice.
• Extra Hands: large compression digits and high-contrast event log for rig lighting.

What's not

• Extra Hands PDFs haven't been audited against PDF/UA. If a screen reader can't read one, let me know.
• The Google Translate widget is Google's code. Its accessibility is theirs.

Resuscitation guidance

iHarig LLC operates out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. In one way or another, everything I've built here started in this community.

My family arrived when I was three, after my father was assigned to the U.S. Army War College. I've been with Cumberland Goodwill EMS since 2002, starting as a junior volunteer firefighter and working up to Assistant Chief of Administration. The apps grew out of what I learned with the local ambulance and rescue service, and the CPR initiatives I am a part of.

Carlisle's history is layered. The Dickinson School of Law, now Penn State Dickinson Law, was founded here in 1834, making it one of the oldest law schools in the country. George Washington mustered federal troops in Carlisle during the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794. Mary "Molly Pitcher" Hays, the Revolutionary War heroine of the Battle of Monmouth, is buried in the Old Public Graveyard. In addition to the U.S. Army War College, a short walk north of my PO Box sits the Carlisle Federal Indian Boarding School National Monument, designated by President Biden in December 2024. It preserves the site of the Carlisle Indian Industrial School (1879–1918), a complicated chapter in the town's past: the federal government's flagship off-reservation boarding school for Indigenous children.
